Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess named Rapunzel. A wicked witch kidnapped her and put her in a tall tower and wouldn’t let her out to see anyone; not even a hair dresser. So her hair grew longer and longer. One day, a handsome prince came riding up. He had been searching for Rapunzel for a long time. He looked all around the tower, but there was no doors or windows save the one way up in Rapunzel’s room.
But that didn’t faze the prince one bit.
“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair,” he cried up to the beautiful princess. She did as she was told and yards and yards of beautiful hair came tumbling down from the window, almost touching the ground.
“Are you now going to climb up and rescue me?” she asked eagerly.
“Not exactly,” replied the handsome prince and gave her hair a terrific yank. Out fell the princess. So while they did get married and live ever after, it wasn’t exactly happily.
