I’ve stood on a beach at the End of the World
Watching the swollen red sun
Hang motionless in a twilight sky.
I’ve looked to the horizon of a dying sea.
Black cold, lack life with loneliness abound
Water limping onto the tired sand.
I’ve seen the moon, unfamliar face
Ghostly gray with the patience of death
Eating up the surrendering sun.
And as I shivered, the final snow fell
And a trillion years hence – I wept.
